Welcome to SHSUSAC

The Sheffield Hallam Students' Union Sub Aqua Club (SHSUSAC) is branch number 9214 of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) based at Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield. We run training for divers of all levels and offer cross-over courses for all non-BSAC diving organisations. We've recently changed to a society from our old club name SHUSAC (Sheffield Hallam University Sub Aqua Club). We've been around since 1984, so come and join us!

At the beginning of every academic year we take on approximately 20 students who have never dived before and train them to BSAC Ocean Diver level.
If you already hold a diving qualification from another organisation you are also welcome to join our club and continue diving within the limits of your qualification.
For more information on converting from another diving agency and continuing your training with us please view the BSAC qualification conversion table to see what we can offer you.

If you have never dived before and want to try before you buy, we run Try Dive sessions throughout the year. Our main Try Dive sessions are at the start of the academic year (September/October). If you want to find out more about learning to dive please look at our Try Dives and New Diver pages.

At SHSUSAC we are committed to providing the best value SCUBA training. For a full break down of our fees, please visit the Prices page.

As a british club the majority of our diving is in UK waters, with one overseas training trip per year. Diving in the UK is not as boring and colourless as many people imagine - in fact with the United Kingdom's rich naval history and large marine biodiversity, it can be far more thrilling than most foreign dive sites. For more information about where and why we dive, please visit the Diving section of the site.

For all other questions, please visit our FAQs page. If you do not find your answer in there please contact us.

We look forward to meeting you!
